Their newest album 'Hinterlands' layers harmonically rich melodies against the backdrop of a wild, uncertain landscape. Their songs explore the complexities of living in these modern times: navigating the Austin folk music scene, creating space for queer artists, and confronting unabating tides of change. Texas String Assembly

With nearly enough members to field a baseball team, Texas String Assembly is a rag-tag band of hooligans servin' up their own signature blend of grass-fed music. Listen to their debut album on Nine Mile Records, available in 2022 on all platforms. NMR's Rick Pierik says, "They are exactly what they sound like - accomplished acoustic string musicians playing in the venn diagram of bluegrass, folk-country, and hippie jugband music - and they have a fast-growing fanbase."

The Way Down
